Logistics Information

WHEN

The Inter-Agency Standing Committee’s (IASC) Operational Policy and Advocacy Group (OPAG) will meet on 11 April 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and on 12 April from 09:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Coffee will be served from 8.30 a.m. on both days).

WHERE

The meeting will take place at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Geneva, Avenue Louis-Casaï 75-77, 1216 Geneva.

SECURITY

Visitors badges will be issued in the meeting room upon arrival. Please ensure that you bring an official ID with you.

FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO/FROM THE AIRPORT  

Departure every 20 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., and every 30 minutes from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

TAXI  

Participants should make a reservation at least 30 minutes in advance with Taxiphone Genève at +41 22 33 141 33. Uber is also operational in Geneva.

BUS  

“De Joinville” stop is right in front of the hotel. Bus no.10 (direction “Rive”) runs from Geneva Airport to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Bus 10 (direction “Aéroport) also runs from Geneva’s railway station (Cornavin) to the hotel. Bus 53 also stops at the hotel. Please find timetables and maps at www.tpg.ch.

MEALS

A seated buffet lunch will be served upstairs in the Café Jardin restaurant from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on 11 April.

Croissants and coffee/tea will be served outside the meeting room from 8.30 a.m. to 9.00 a.m., from 10.45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. on 11 April, and from 8.30 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. and from 10.15 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on 12 April.

Hot beverages and water will be available throughout the meeting.

INTERNET

A Wi-Fi connection can be accessed free of charge in the meeting room.

ACCOMMODATION

Participants are requested to make their own accommodation arrangements. Geneva offers a large variety of hotels, please contact Mr. Laurent Pfander (Laurent.pfander@wfp.org), should you require hotel recommendations.

DINNER OPTION ON 11 APRIL

We will be organizing a dinner in the centre of Geneva on the evening of 11 April. This dinner will be a set menu (with options) at each participant’s own expense. Should you be interested in joining us, kindly let us know, whilst also indicating any special dietary requirements.
