Description

Resilience building provides an opportunity to anticipate crises, reduce risk and facilitate more effective humanitarian responses. UN-Habitat has developed a methodology that goes beyond risk reduction to identify and address stressors that act as negative catalysts when a city faces crisis and limit or paralyse humanitarian response. By generating a verified data and knowledge basis with city partners, UN-Habitat's methodology can accelerate humanitarian operations by providing stakeholder maps, urban performance analysis, risk maps and a detailed profile of the local context.
