As we have reached the six-month mark of the IASC system-wide Scale-Up activation for northern Ethiopia, the IASC Principals have exceptionally extended the activation for an additional six months, until 29 April 2022, in order to continue ramping up the collective humanitarian response.

This internal Scale-up designation is about ensuring that humanitarian operations are able to meet the scale and severity of needs across northern Ethiopia, while we work towards solutions and look after our teams.
