Sustainable Capacity Investment

GenCap aims to ensure that the impact of the project will continue beyond the duration of a specific deployment. To enable this, the project is adopting different approaches:

  • Building the capacity of gender focal points and advocating for gender expertise in every field office
  • Institutionalizing gender within strategic documents and data collection
  • Supporting Humanitarian Coordinators in fulfilling their leadership and advocacy roles
  • Strengthening the accountability of all actors involved in the work and governance of the project.

A monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework based on the Theory of Change model has been developed as a means to build upon the vision and objectives of the project in order to better measure the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of GenCap.
