Mr. Julio G. Alvarez of Google will present the suite of Crisis Response Tools available to humanitarian aid workers, including: Google Docs, Groups, Public Alerts, Person Finder, Custom Maps, Virtual Global Earth, Fusion Tables and Custom Sites. These tools are designed to enhance coordination and effective response toward natural disasters and humanitarian crisis. Mr. Alvarez will also brief on past response efforts that used Google Crisis Response resources.

Background
Google Crisis Response tools provide accessibility to information in times of natural disaster and humanitarian crisis. Its technological features - such as Public Alerts, Person Finder, Maps, Fusion Tables, and Docs - offer solutions to information exchange, risk mapping, and resource sharing in emergencies. In partnership with relief organizations, the Google Crisis Response team has assisted in the response to major disasters including in Pakistan and Haiti.
