At the World Humanitarian Summit in May 2016, the signatories of the ‘Grand Bargain’ committed to simplify and harmonize donor reporting requirements so that the process of reporting on humanitarian activities becomes simpler, more efficient and less bureaucratic.
The new 8+3 Template for narrative reporting – tested for two years across different countries – is a key enabler of simplified and harmonized reporting and every organization involved in funding humanitarian action is strongly encouraged to implement the 8+3 Template for narrative reporting. For Grand Bargain signatories, the adoption 8+3 template means fulfilling one of their core commitments.
This online event will provide participants with key information on the 8+3 Template, how it balances flexibility and detail, what aspects it covers, which areas are not covered by the template, where one can find further information and on the few steps required to introduce it. Following a brief presentation, participants will have ample time to ask questions on the 8+3 Template.
