2019-2021 five Results Groups were tasked by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) to develop policy guidance, operational frameworks and tools on issues such as operational readiness, localization, the humanitarian−development−peace nexus, accountability and inclusion
The objective of this common narrative is to facilitate consistent messaging among IASC members during upcoming climate events in 2021. To this end, the common narrative has served as basis for the video submitted by 12 IASC organizations to the Climate Adaptation Summit as a prerecorded side event, which was shared widely via social media by the humanitarian and wider climate community in early 2021.
The first meeting of the IASC OPAG on 11-12 April underscored a rejuvenation of the IASC’s normative mandate. There was a sense of urgency to ensure that the IASC priorities, which reflect critical areas in humanitarian action, are delivered.
