With 274 million people needing humanitarian assistance in 2022, it is more urgent than ever to translate the principles of the Recommendation into practical programmatic actions.

The Nexus Academy is a ‘common good’ designed and delivered by DAC members, the UN system, NGOs and a broad range of stakeholders. The Academy builds on the success of the DAC Recommendation and aims to forge a common understanding of nexus approaches to ensure that organisations and the people they employ have the knowledge, skills and capacities to translate these approaches into practical actions.

Launch of the Nexus Academy, will take place from 14:00 to 15:30 (CET) at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 23 February 2022. The event will be hybrid with attendees both in-person and online.

The launch will include a panel discussion from key stakeholders including the United States and WFP, as co-chairs of the DAC-UN Dialogue, UNDP as the institutional ‘host’ of the Nexus Academy, and the Ministry of Planning from the Democratic Republic of Congo, representing the g7+ group of fragile states.

Attendance is limited to one representative per organisation. Confirm your attendance here to ensure access to the Palais des Nations. To participate online please register here.
