IASC Special Event with Mr. Rashid Khalikov

IASC Special Event on Yemen
Mr. Rashid Khalikov, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Partnerships with the Middle East and Central Asia, OCHA Geneva, will brief the IASC on his recent mission to Aden and Sana'a and will give an overview of the most recent developments in Yemen. The event will also be an occasion to discuss preparations related to a High Level Pledging Meeting on Yemen in early 2017.
Biography of presenters:
In November 2015, the Secretary-General appointed Mr. Khalikov as Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Partnerships with the Middle East and Central Asia. Mr. Khalikov brings a wealth of experience and knowledge not only in humanitarian affairs but more specifically in the area of partnerships and resource mobilization. Mr. Khalikov has held numerous senior level positions within the United Nations. Previously, he served as the Director of OCHA Geneva.
