I am pleased to invite all who are interested to a viewing of the film The Whistleblower, starring Rachel Weisz, which examines the issue of trafficking and sexual exploitation in post-war Bosnia and specifically the role of aid agency staff in perpetrating these abuses. The viewing will take place on Friday 4 May from 11.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. and will be held in OCHA’s Conference Room 1, 6th Floor, 380 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017. The event is being organized by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee Task Force on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse which is co-chaired by IRC and UNDP. Jaqueline Carlson and Luc Gerwin, current co-chairs of the IASC Task Force on the Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, will facilitate a discussion based on the issues raised in the film.
