1. Country Focus: Cote d'Ivoire
Niels Scott, Chief Humanitarian Coordination Support Section, OCHA, will share lessons learned and impressions when he was OCHA Head of Office in Cote d'Ivoire. His presentation will focus on coordination challenges in Cote d'Ivoire and lessons learnt.
Niels Scott has worked with the UN (including OCHA and DPKO), the Red Cross Movement, and an INGO. He has served as head of country and regional offices for both the Red Cross and the United Nations system in Darfur, Haiti, West Africa, Georgia and Central Asia. He is currently Chief of the Humanitarian Coordination Support Section in OCHA. From April to August this year, he was seconded to Cote d'Ivoire as the OCHA Head of Office.
