Ms. Christelle Loupforest, Head of the IASC/ECHA Secretariat, opens the meeting and introduces the topic: How Social Media Can Promote Social Causes
11.35 – 12.05 Social Activism 2.0
Ms. Eliza Esquivel, Planning Director at TBWA, will present her study on Social Activism among young adults. New technologies play a natural and central role, because they are part of the everyday lives of young adults.
12.05 – 12.30 Young Adults and the Revival of 'Social' in Social Activism Ms. Susan Raymond, Executive Vice President at Changing Our World, will illustrate how organizations such as World Vision and the World Food Programme used social media to promote their causes.
12.30 – 12.45 Discussion
Ms. Christelle Loupforest, Head of the IASC/ECHA Secretariat, will moderate the discussion and conclude the meeting.
