IASC OPAG members Convene to Renew Collective Commitment

The IASC Operational Policy and Advocacy Group (OPAG) met on 23 November 2021 to:

1. Agree on what the IASC needs to do to strengthen the humanitarian system’s collective ability to engage with and respond to affected populations,
2. Reflect on the progress of the ongoing IASC Protection Policy Review and towards strengthening the Centrality of Protection,
3. Discuss the ongoing Inter-Agency Humanitarian Evaluations on the COVID-19 Scale Up response and Yemen and the priorities for 2022/2023 with the objective to strengthen learning and alignment with IASC Strategic Priorities; and
4. Consider key findings from recent Peer-2-Peer country support missions.

The OPAG renewed its collective commitment to put people and their protection at the centre of humanitarian action.
