Editing the home page

The home page of the IASC website is a collection of objects which are assembled into a page using the module Panels. There are several types of content included:

  • Lists of content automatically generated from Views. You can change the style of these items.
  • Paragraph of text. You can change any of this content.
  • Block of text. You can change any of this content.
  • Embedded content (Twitter). You can change the style of the header.

Configuring Home Page Items

To configure any of these items, you must first click on the button "customise this page".

Once you are in the editing mode, click the paint brush icon to adjust the way an items looks. This includes the colour of the header text (you may choose from one of the preset colours for the website's palette); and icons for the list.

To change the number of items displaying; or the text which is used for the header, click on the configuration cog for any of the items.

You may also change the placement of the items by dragging and dropping the items into a new location.

When you have made all of your desired changes, click the button "save" at the top of the page to lock in your changes.

Editing Block Content

The following use Drupal Blocks:

  • Twitter embed block.
  • MailChimp signup form.

To edit any of these items, you will need to locate the appropriate block listed at /admin/structure/blocks.

 

Editing Newsletter Content and Image Pane

  1. Login 
  2. On the homepage, click on the “Customize this page” button:
  3. Click the Edit Gear button for the pane.
  4. Scroll down to the text editor field. Delete old image, and click the Image button to upload and place a new image.
  5. 5. Scroll back up and click the Save button.
