The Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change Sixth Assessment Report recognized the humanitarian impacts of the climate crisis[1]. The report indicates that the return to previously known conditions is no longer realistic, and that the world is most likely to exceed 1.5 degrees global surface temperature in the next decade.

The independent inter-agency humanitarian evaluation (IAHE) assessed the collective humanitarian response to the crisis in the three northern regions of Ethiopia between November 2020 and April 2023. The evaluation finds that although humanitarian organizations overcame numerous obstacles to deliver critical aid, the collective response to the needs of people in Northern Ethiopia was not adequate.

The independent inter-agency humanitarian evaluation (IAHE) assessed the collective humanitarian response in Afghanistan between August 2021 and mid-2023. The evaluation finds that the humanitarian response provided critical support to millions of vulnerable Afghans by alleviating food insecurity and economic burdens on households, preventing the deterioration of health services and helping to sustain economic stability.
