The Results Group 5 on Humanitarian Financing met on 20 August in Geneva to discuss the following agenda:

Humanitarian aid is largely concentrated in crises that are protracted or recurrent. In 2016, 60% of global humanitarian financing went to just 10 countries. Almost three-quarters of this aid went to long-term recipients (where a crisis has lasted eight years or more) and 86% went to crises that had endured over three years.

This review report details the results of the ‘Harmonizing Reporting Pilot’ and the experience of donors and partners with the harmonized reporting template, also called ‘8+3 template’. Piloting the harmonized reporting template for the last two years showed that most users view the new template as a significant improvement over existing donor templates, because it simplifies and standardizes the narrative reporting process considerably.

The Results Group 5 on Humanitarian Financing met on 23 July in Geneva to discuss follow-up actions of the Financing the Nexus study and finalize the workplan. Below is a brief record of the meeting.

Results Group 4 on Humanitarian and Development Collaboration met on 6 June in Geneva/New York to discuss the priority areas of work tasked by the Operational Policy and Advocacy Group (OPAG). Given the tight timeline to report to OPAG in September, the Results Group agreed, as its modalities, to form small group of members with proposed leads to take forward each of the OPAG-agreed priority areas of work.
