Reorganizing the IASC Subsidiary Bodies

This paper summarizes recommendations for reorganizing the IASC Subsidiary Bodies. In response to the Deputies Group's request, it also (i) notes the achievements of the Entities Associated with the IASC and (ii) outlines their terms of reference. The Chair of the Deputies Group will propose the preferred future IASC Subsidiary structure to the Emergency Relief Coordinator (ERC).

This document sets out the new Inter Agency Standing Committee’s (IASC) structure for 2022-2023 to ensure that it is better fit for purpose and able to focus on its original mandate, as laid out in General Assembly resolutions. The IASC was established following the adoption of UN General Assembly 46/182 in 1991.
