On the margins of the Grand Bargain Annual Meeting on 1 July 2022, EP Egeland and NEAR’s Executive Director Hibak Kalfan successfully launched a caucus on funding for localisation, with members from the following organisations: USAID, Denmark, UNHCR, OCHA, IFRC, Save the Child
Charter4Change (C4C) members have gathered perspectives on the role of intermediaries through an online workshop in December 2021, and a survey of INGO members of C4C in spring 2022, which gathered responses from 18 INGO global headquarters and their 135 country offices around the world. This paper summarises key findings.
On the margins of the Grand Bargain Facilitation Group (FG) and EP Sherpa-level retreat in Berlin in May 2022, three FG representatives reflected on the achievements of the Grand Bargain so far – and what needs to be the done in the year to come.
A4EP carried out a survey with its members to find out the status of localisation commitments in the context where they work and from their organisational perspective. This information will inform the annual report to the Grand Bargain secretariat and help A4EP to identify the barriers and solutions going forward. It also assists in identifying the focus of A4EP advocacy campaign and engagement with the Grand Bargain signatories and other stakeholders. Out of 22 members, 16 members from 14 countries from Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe completed the survey.
