This is the Grand Bargain 2.0 structure, which was finalised following a meeting between the Facilitation Group members and workstream Co-convenors.
Following a successful application, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is the newest, 64th Signatory to the Grand Bargain.
The Grand Bargain now includes 64 Signatories (25 states, 11 UN Agencies, 5 inter-governmental organizations and Red Cross/Red Crescent Movements and 23 NGOs).
Please find below the statement from A4EP on Typhoon RAI in the Philippines. A4EP is appealing for the Grand Bargain Signatories to adhere to their commitments to localization and support local organisations who are responding and assisting the communities affected by the typhoon.
On Monday 22 November, Principals from the agencies participating in the caucus (the US government, ECHO, WFP, OCHA, UNHCR, UNICEF, IFRC, ICVA, A4EP and the CCD) as well as observers (CaLP, Cashcap and the World Bank) attended the first high-level strategic meeting on cash coordination, convened and facilitated by Jan Egeland in his role as EP.
Following the announcement of EP Jan Egeland to prioritise a caucus on the role of intermediaries in his letter in July 2021, Co-convenors of workstream 2 IFRC and Switzerland, along with SCHR, worked on initial thinking around the problem statement and the objective of the caucus.
The EP, in consultation with the Facilitation Group and other stakeholders, has agreed to lead a caucus on cash coordination. The caucus will convene key actors with the objective of recommending a solution to ensure accountable and predictable cash coordination, striking a good balance between inclusivity and effectiveness of the dialogue.
On 5 October 2021, the cash workstream organised an event "5 years of the cash workstream; successes and ways forward" to reflect on the successes of the workstream in supporting the growth and expansion of humanitarian cash over the years.
